Pieces with a story. Made for women who know what they want.

I'm Amenawon — founder and designer behind Mhenase Touch. Bespoke contemporary fashion, drawn from West African craft and made in a Manchester atelier. From wedding parties to everyday capsule pieces.

The brand

A name from home. A method from training. A studio in Manchester.

Mhenase — "thank you" in Asante Twi. The brand started as a few pieces made for friends, became a referral list, and is now a small atelier I run by myself out of South Manchester.

The work draws on West African textile traditions — block prints, embroidery, hand-finished detail — translated into pieces that hold their own at a UK wedding or in a Manchester boardroom. Most of what I make is bespoke. A handful of pieces a year go out as small ready-to-wear capsules.

Everything is cut, sewn and finished by me. No outsourced production, no white-label patterns rebadged.

Work with me

Three ways to commission a piece.

i.

Full bespoke

A piece designed for you from a blank page. Three fittings over eight to twelve weeks. Best for weddings, christenings, milestone birthdays and the big-day pieces in a wedding party.

From £6808–12 weeks
ii.

House silhouette, your measurements

Made-to-measure from a pattern I already cut and love. Shorter turnaround, lower price, same finishing — a good first commission.

From £2804 weeks
iii.

Ready-to-wear capsule

A small run of pieces released two or three times a year. Sold first to the studio mailing list, then to a small number of independent stockists.

Amenawon took a single sketch and a fabric swatch and turned it into the piece I'll wear at every wedding for the next decade. I trust nobody else with anything that matters now.
